WebP to PNG Converter

WebP to PNG without loss: transparency and animation are kept. Animation is kept; speed and loops are adjustable. Files are not uploaded to a server.

Drag images here or click to choose WebP, animated included: you can add several files at once or paste from the clipboard (Ctrl+V)

PNG keeps quality without loss. If you limit the number of colors, the file becomes much lighter: this is how icons, diagrams and drawings are compressed.

This page turns WebP into PNG without any quality loss. Transparency is kept, and an animated WebP becomes an animated PNG (APNG). PNG opens in almost any program and is good for further editing.

WebP is a Google format for websites. It compresses with or without loss, supports transparency and animation, and is usually noticeably lighter than JPG and PNG. Most modern browsers open it, but some programs and older devices do not.

PNG stores a picture without loss, supports full transparency and suits screenshots, logos and graphics. PNG files are heavier than JPG, but they can be made lighter by cutting the colors down to a PNG-8 palette: for icons and diagrams the difference is invisible.

For PNG you can keep all colors without loss or cut the palette to 256, 128, 64, 32 or 16 colors with dithering (PNG-8): the file becomes much lighter. Transparency is kept by default, but you can fill it with a color. Animation is kept: all frames and their delays are carried over, and the speed from 0.5× to 2× and the loops (endless or once) can be changed. The size in pixels can stay as it is or be changed by width, by height or in percent. Results download one by one or all at once as a ZIP, with random or original names.

Converting WebP to PNG happens in your browser: files are not uploaded to a server, so it is fast and safe. You can drag several files in, pick them in a file window or paste from the clipboard with Ctrl+V.
