Compare two images
Add two images and move the before-and-after slider. You can save the comparison as PNG. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.
Comparing two pictures helps you see what exactly changed after retouching, compression, a format change or color correction. Load the “Before” and “After” images and move the divider: on one side you see the first picture, on the other the second.
This kind of slider is handy for checking how visible compression artifacts are, how sharpness or color changed, or how two design variants differ. The divider can run from left to right or from top to bottom, and its position is set with the mouse, a finger or the keys.
If the pictures differ in size, the second one is fitted into the frame of the first with its proportions preserved. For a fair comparison it is therefore better to use images of the same size. The swap button quickly exchanges the two pictures.
The finished comparison can be saved as a PNG with labels and a dividing line at the chosen place. Such a picture is convenient to attach to a report, a portfolio or a chat discussion so that colleagues see the difference at once.
All images open right in the browser and are not sent anywhere. The page understands the same formats as the other tools of the site: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, SVG, TIFF and others, including rare ones.
