Converter from RAF
The ready-made photo embedded in Fujifilm RAF RAW files is taken and saved as JPG, PNG or WebP. The size may be smaller than the full shot. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.
RAF is the raw image format of Fujifilm cameras. The name comes from the words Fujifilm Raw. It is used in the X and GFX series and stores sensor data together with film simulation settings, exposure and lens information.
A distinctive feature of Fujifilm cameras is the X-Trans sensor, which uses a special arrangement of color filters. It differs from the standard Bayer pattern, so developing such files requires programs that support this pattern, while universal tools often produce noticeable artifacts.
An RAF file contains a header with offsets, an embedded image in JPEG format and a block of raw data. The embedded picture is created by the camera according to the selected film simulation, and therefore often looks just as the photographer intended.
The RAF to JPG converter takes exactly this embedded image and saves it as JPG, PNG or WebP. This approach is convenient for quick viewing, sending to a client and publishing when there is no way to run a full RAW editor.
The size of the resulting picture may be smaller than the full resolution of the sensor, and the headroom in exposure and white balance is not kept. If deep processing is needed, open the source RAF in a specialized program. The page works on computers, tablets and smartphones.
The conversion takes place in the browser on your device, and files are not uploaded to a server. Results can be downloaded one by one or all at once. No registration or software installation is required. The page works on computers, tablets and smartphones.
