Caption and meme
Add text above and below the image: as in a meme or on a separate strip. The result is visible right away. The pixel size does not change. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.
The meme generator lets you add a caption to an image in the classic style of internet memes. The text is placed at the top and bottom, set in large letters and outlined with a contrasting contour, so it reads well on any background. The page works in the browser.
2 modes are provided. In the first, the text is placed directly over the picture, as in familiar memes. In the second, the caption is placed on a separate strip above or below the image, which is convenient for comics, explanations of photographs and teaching materials.
Impact, Arial Black, serif and sans-serif fonts and Comic Sans are available for styling. The text color, outline color and strip color are set independently. The capital letters mode is enabled with one checkbox and gives the usual look of captions.
The font size is chosen automatically so that a long line fits the width of the image. If the text is too long, it wraps onto several lines. The preview updates with every change, so the result is visible immediately.
A meme can be made from a photograph in any common format. The finished image is saved as PNG, JPG or WebP. For publishing on social networks JPG is usually enough, while PNG suits maximum quality.
Files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to a server. The availability of fonts depends on the system: if the required one is missing, the browser substitutes a similar one. After the page is closed, temporary data is removed from browser memory.
