Converter from MRW

The ready-made photo embedded in Minolta MRW RAW files is taken and saved as JPG, PNG or WebP. The size may be smaller than the full shot. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.

MRW is the raw image format of Minolta and Konica Minolta. It was recorded by DiMAGE digital cameras, as well as the Dynax, Maxxum and Alpha 5D and 7D SLR models produced in the 2000s.

After the photo division was transferred to Sony in 2006, the line became Sony Alpha, and the MRW format remained only in archives. It is not based on TIFF and begins with its own header, followed by blocks with sensor data and shooting parameters.

Modern viewers and system tools cannot open such files, and the old Minolta programs have not been updated for a long time. So for working with an archive it is convenient to get ordinary pictures that open in any browser.

The MRW to JPG converter looks for an embedded image in the file and saves it as JPG, PNG or WebP. In some cameras there is only a small thumbnail inside, and then the result will be modest in size. The page shows it after opening.

All calculations run on your device, and files are not sent to a server. You can load several shots at once and download the results one by one or all together.
