Color picker and palette

Find the color of any point and get a palette of the image’s main colors. The pixel size does not change. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.

Drag images here or click to choose JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, SVG, TIFF, BMP, ICO, TGA, PCX, PPM, PGM, PBM, QOI — you can select several files at once

The eyedropper determines the exact color of any point in an image, and the palette shows the main colors of the picture. These data are needed by designers, web developers, artists and anyone who selects shade combinations or transfers colors from a photograph into a project.

When you hover over the image, the color under the cursor is displayed. A click remembers the color in the list of selected ones. For each shade, codes are shown in hexadecimal notation, as red, green and blue values, and in the HSL color model.

The image palette is built with the median cut algorithm. It splits the set of pixels into groups by ranges of color channels and takes the average color for each group. The number of colors can be changed, and similar shades are not duplicated.

The color in a photo can also be determined with the screen eyedropper, if the browser supports it. It lets you take a color from any window on the computer, not only from the uploaded picture.

Results can be copied to the clipboard in several formats: a list of HEX codes, CSS rules with variables, or a JSON structure. The palette can also be downloaded as a PNG image and used in a presentation or a layout.

The analysis is performed on your device. Images are not sent to a server, and color values are calculated from the original pixels without changes. No registration or software installation is required. The page works on computers, tablets and smartphones.
