Animated APNG
Make an animated PNG from a set of pictures. Transparency is preserved, the order and timing of the frames are adjustable. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.
APNG is an animated PNG: it works like GIF but supports full transparency and millions of colors instead of 256. This page assembles such an animation from a set of pictures. Each picture becomes a frame, and the order of the frames can be changed.
Load several images in any supported format, arrange them with the arrows and set the delay. One value applies to all frames, and if needed the display time of an individual frame can be changed by hand.
If the frames differ in size, they can be fitted in the center, made to fill the frame with cropping, or stretched. The animation size is taken from the first frame or set by width in pixels. A repeat count of 0 means endless playback.
In the preview the animation plays at once, and the finished file is shown next to its size and weight. Modern browsers open APNG, while in programs without animation support only the first frame is visible.
Frames are encoded on your device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. The file suits stickers, icons, banners and short demos where transparency is needed. For very long animations it is better to choose a small frame size.
