WebP to JPG Converter

WebP to JPG, to open a picture where WebP is not accepted. First frame or all frames in a ZIP, adjustable quality. Files are not uploaded to a server.

Drag images here or click to choose WebP, animated included: you can add several files at once or paste from the clipboard (Ctrl+V)

JPG does not support transparency: transparent areas are filled with the chosen color. If you set a maximum size, the quality is picked automatically and, if needed, the size in pixels is reduced slightly.

No files yet

WebP becomes JPG, which opens on any device and is accepted by all sites and editors. It solves a common problem: a picture saved from the browser turned out to be WebP, but you need an ordinary photo. Transparent areas are filled with a color.

WebP is a Google format for websites. It compresses with or without loss, supports transparency and animation, and is usually noticeably lighter than JPG and PNG. Most modern browsers open it, but some programs and older devices do not.

JPG suits photos and opens in any program, on any device and on any site. The lower the quality, the smaller the file and the more visible the loss: values of 80 to 90 usually look almost the same as the original. JPG has no transparency or animation.

For JPG you set the quality from 1 to 100, a background color in place of transparency and a maximum size in kilobytes: the page picks the quality itself and, if needed, slightly reduces the size in pixels. Transparent areas are filled with the chosen color, because JPG cannot store transparency. WebP can be animated but JPG cannot store animation: the first frame is taken or all frames are saved as separate pictures in one ZIP. The size in pixels can stay as it is or be changed by width, by height or in percent. Results download one by one or all at once as a ZIP, with random or original names.

Converting WebP to JPG happens in your browser: files are not uploaded to a server, so it is fast and safe. You can drag several files in, pick them in a file window or paste from the clipboard with Ctrl+V.
