ORF, or Olympus Raw Format, is the raw image format of Olympus and OM System cameras. It contains the information captured by the sensor without the camera processor’s final processing, as well as exposure, lens and stabilization data.

The ORF structure is based on TIFF and includes several nested images. Besides the main sensor data, the file contains a thumbnail and an enlarged preview in JPEG format. These data allow the shot to be shown quickly on a screen without development.

The format is used in the Micro Four Thirds system, popular among travelers and nature photographers for its compact equipment. RAW processing makes it possible to correct exposure and white balance, but it requires special programs and considerable computer resources.

The ORF to JPG converter finds the embedded image in the file and saves it as JPG, PNG or WebP. The result is suitable for quick viewing, selecting frames, publishing online and sending without installing additional software.

Remember that the embedded frame may have a lower resolution than the full shot and already contains the camera settings. For deep correction and large-size printing, it is better to process the source file in a RAW editor.

Everything happens locally in the browser, and files are not sent to a server. Results can be downloaded one by one or all at once. No registration or software installation is required. The page works on computers, tablets and smartphones.
