Cover faces, license plates, documents and other details: blur, pixelation or solid fill. The pixel size does not change. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.

Hiding areas of an image is needed when a photo or screenshot happens to include faces, car license plates, addresses, card details, documents or correspondence. Covering such details helps to publish a picture safely and to protect people’s personal information.

The page offers 3 ways of hiding. Blur mixes neighboring pixels and hides fine details. Pixelation replaces an area with large squares. Color fill completely covers the area with a solid fill and leaves no original information under the layer.

Areas can be selected with a rectangle, an oval or a freeform brush. Each area remains a separate object: it can be selected, moved, resized or deleted. The strength of the blur and the brush thickness are adjusted with sliders, and actions are undone and redone with buttons.

For documents and license plates it is more reliable to use color fill. Weak blur and fine pixelation can in some cases be partly restored by special algorithms, especially if the original text is large and high-contrast. The stronger the effect, the lower the chance of restoration.

A part of a photo can be blurred without installing editors. The result is written in the original format or in PNG, JPG or WebP, and the effect is built into the pixels of the final image, so the original data is not kept in the file.

Processing is performed on your device, and files are not sent to a server. This is especially important for documents and personal pictures. Finished images can be downloaded one by one or all at once. The page works on computers, tablets and smartphones.
