Animated WebP
Make an animated WebP from a set of pictures. It is lighter than GIF and supports transparency. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.
Animated WebP replaces GIF where a small file size matters: at the same quality the file is noticeably lighter, and there are more colors and transparency. This page assembles such an animation from a set of pictures right in the browser.
Add frames, arrange them in the order you need and set how long each is shown. The overall delay can be changed with a single number, and individual frames are adjusted by hand. The animation size is taken from the first frame or set by width.
The compression quality is adjusted with a slider: the lower the value, the lighter the file. The lossless mode keeps every frame exactly, but the result weighs more. Transparency is preserved, so the animation can be placed on any background.
Before saving, the animation plays in the preview window, and after assembly the final file is shown with its size and weight. Modern browsers play animated WebP without any extra programs.
Everything happens in the browser, and frames are not uploaded to a server. If you need a format with the most accurate colors and transparency, you can build an APNG on the neighboring page. For compatibility with old programs, an ordinary GIF will do.
