Converter from X3F
The ready-made photo embedded in Sigma X3F RAW files is taken and saved as JPG, PNG or WebP. The size may be smaller than the full shot. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.
X3F is the raw image format of Sigma cameras with a Foveon X3 sensor, in which three layers of pixels record red, green and blue at a single point. The name comes from this very sensor.
Such files are created by Sigma SD and DP series cameras, including the Merrill and Quattro models. The X3F structure is its own, unlike TIFF: it holds sensor data, shooting parameters and, as a rule, one or more embedded preview shots.
Because of the unusual sensor and the closed format, X3F opens far from everywhere. Full development most often requires the Sigma Photo Pro program, and without it you cannot quickly look at a shot or send it.
The X3F to JPG converter finds the ready-made embedded image in the file and saves it as JPG, PNG or WebP. The size may be smaller than the full sensor resolution. If there is no suitable shot inside, the page will tell you.
The conversion happens on your device, and files do not go to a server. You can load several shots and download the results separately or all at once. For printing and precise color correction, choose professional development.
