Compress to 200 KB
Reduce a photo to 200 KB: the quality is chosen automatically and, if needed, the pixel size is reduced slightly. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.
The quality is chosen automatically: the highest one at which the file is not larger than the chosen size. If the file is already smaller, the original is kept.
A 200 KB limit appears when uploading pictures to product cards, content management systems, forums, support services and document intake forms. A photo from a modern smartphone is usually ten times heavier or more.
The page chooses the quality automatically. The image is encoded several times, and the version with the highest quality at which the file is no larger than 200 KB is kept. For websites and online stores this size gives a sharp picture without extra load on page loading.
If the source photo is very large, adjusting the quality alone may not fit the limit. Then the option enabled by default slightly reduces the pixel size. You can turn this option off if the picture size must stay the same.
You can load many files at once, for example a whole series of product photos, and download the results in turn. Files that are already lighter than 200 KB are left unchanged. Choose the WebP format to get an even lighter result.
The conversion happens in the browser, and files are not uploaded to a server or stored. No registration is required. You can use the page on a computer and on a phone, with no programs to install.
