Compress to 100 KB
Reduce a photo to 100 KB: the quality is chosen automatically and, if needed, the pixel size is reduced slightly. Everything happens in the browser, files are not uploaded anywhere.
The quality is chosen automatically: the highest one at which the file is not larger than the chosen size. If the file is already smaller, the original is kept.
A 100 KB limit is set on job sites, school and university portals, feedback forms and personal accounts. An ordinary camera shot is several times heavier, so it has to be compressed before uploading.
Here you can compress a photo to 100 KB without picking settings by hand. The page encodes the image several times and keeps the highest-quality version that fits the limit. JPG suits photographs, WebP gives a lighter file.
For most photos this size is enough for the picture to look sharp on screen. If the original is very large, the option enabled by default allows its pixel size to be reduced slightly, and the quality stays acceptable.
You can process several files at once and download the results one by one or all together. If a file is already lighter than 100 KB, it is left as it is. For transparent images choose WebP; when saving to JPG, the chosen color becomes the background.
All operations run on your device using the browser, and files are not sent to a server. After you close the page, the temporary data is removed from memory. The page works on computers, tablets and smartphones.
